Item 8.01 Other Events.
 
Aldav LLC, a subsidiary of Acacia Research Corporation, has entered into a settlement and license agreement with Cumulus Media Inc.  The agreement resolves patent litigation, Civil Action Case No. 6:09-cv-170, pending in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas with respect to the identified parties.
