Ronald M.
Olejniczak has notified Aetna Inc. (the “Company”) that he intends to retire
effective July 31, 2008. Mr. Olejniczak will continue to serve as the
Company’s Vice President and Controller and principal accounting officer until
his retirement. The Company expects to file its Quarterly Report on
Form 10-Q for the quarter ending June 30, 2008, on July 31, 2008.
