Item 1.01.    Entry into a Material Definitive Agreement
 
In conjunction with the proposed joint venture between Cambridge Display Technology Limited and Sumitomo Chemical, Dr. Scott Brown, Vice-President, Research and Development, will relocate to Japan for two years. An expatriate assignment agreement between Cambridge Display Technology Limited and Dr. Brown became effective on September 1, 2005 when Dr. Brown's Japanese visa was granted.
