ITEM 7.01. REGULATION FD DISCLOSURE.

On December 8, 2005, LaSalle Hotel Properties issued a press release announcing that it had closed on the acquisition of the Best Western University Tower Hotel in Seattle, Washington. A copy of such press release is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to this report.

ITEM 8.01 OTHER EVENTS.

LaSalle Hotel Properties today announced it has closed its previously announced pending acquisition of the Best Western University Tower Hotel in Seattle, Washington for $26.4 million.
