Item 8.01 Other Events.

On April 12, 2019, Aflac Incorporated issued a press release announcing that its subsidiary, Aflac Life Insurance Japan Ltd., has priced ¥30 billion in yen-denominated perpetual subordinated bonds. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated herein by reference.

This disclosure is being made pursuant to and in accordance with Rule 135c of the Securities Act of 1933, as amended.
