Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers
On October 12, 2010, Lakeland Financial Corporation issued a press release announcing that Ron Truex has been appointed to the Boards of Directors of Lakeland Financial Corporation and Lake City Bank. Mr. Truex will serve an initial term as director of Lakeland Financial Corporation that will expire at the annual meeting of the stockholders to be held in 2013, at which time it is expected that he will be nominated for a full three-year term. He will serve on Lake City Bank’s Credit and Investment Committee. There are no other arrangements or understandings between Mr. Truex and any other person pursuant to which Mr. Truex was selected as a director. The news release is attached as Exhibit 99.1.
