On May 16, 2007, Dollar General announced that it will hold a special meeting of shareholders on June 21, 2007, at the Goodlettsville City Hall Auditorium, 105 South Main Street, Goodlettsville, Tennessee, 37072 at 10:00 a.m., for the purpose of voting on a proposal to approve the merger agreement with affiliates of investment funds affiliated with Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. L.P. Shareholders of record as of the close of business on May 18, 2007, will be entitled to vote at the special meeting of shareholders.
