Item 2.02. Results of Operations and Financial Condition
     On July 21, 2011, Diamond Offshore Drilling, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing its financial results for the fiscal quarter and six-month period ended June 30, 2011. A copy of such press release is furnished herewith as Exhibit 99.1.
