On December 11, 2007, Mr. George S. Spindler notified Methode Electronics, Inc. (“Methode”)
that he has decided to retire from the Board of Directors effective January 31, 2008, the end of
Methode’s third quarter of fiscal 2008. Mr. Spindler has served as a director since 2004 and
currently serves as a member of the Audit Committee, the Compensation Committee and the Nominating
and Governance Committee.
