Item 1.01 Material Definitive Agreement

     On December 8, 2006, the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors of Libbey Inc. approved new base salaries, to be effective January 1, 2007, for the following named executive officers:

John F. Meier Chairman and Chief Executive Officer		$	615,000
Richard I. Reynolds Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer		$	425,000
