Graduating in 2015, Mr. Lester's academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts in history with a double minor in political science and religion from Huntingdon College. His career began in 2014 with an internship with U.S. Sen. Jeff Sessions, followed by an internship at the Family Research Council in 2015. Additional positions Mr. Lester held early in his career include serving as a junior consultant for Jeb 2016 and as a field director for the Congressional Leadership Fund in 2017. He also went on to be promoted to deputy national field director in 2018 for the Congressional Leadership Fund and served as a deputy campaign manager for Georgians for Belle Isle.
Mr. Lester's career includes time as a political strategist with The Lukens Company from 2019 to 2021, where he managed numerous congressional clients. Further highlighting his excellent multitasking skills and establishing his reputation in political management, Mr. Lester served in a regional capacity for Byrne for Senate.
In addition to managing his consulting firm, Mr. Lester served as a major gifts officer at National Right to Life from 2023 to 2024. He led all fundraising operations for the nonprofit and reached a major accomplishment in his career-helping to raise more than $1 million in seven months. Additionally, he served as a development manager at the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) from 2021 to 2023, strengthening his knowledge and skills in strategic development and donor relations.
After a decade of experience, Mr. Lester has become a distinguished political consultant and fundraising professional. He is the principal and founder of Lester Consulting LLC, established in 2016, where he works with federal super political action committees, campaigns and nonprofits on their fundraising efforts.
Milestones and Other Passions
Mr. Lester attributes his success to his resilience and ability to navigate challenges. His ability to overcome difficulties, balance daily tasks and long-term goals and balance his faith and family with his professional life has contributed to Mr. Lester's professional growth. This growth has allowed him to adapt and raise funds across different states and is a testament to his versatility and commitment to his client's success.
Beyond his consulting work, Mr. Lester is an active member of numerous industry-related organizations, including involvement with the American Association of Political Consultants and the Direct Marketing Association of Washington. He is also returning to school at Liberty University beginning in 2025, where he will pursue his master's degree in history.
Besides reaching a major career milestone with National Right to Life, Mr. Lester's career highlights successes beyond professional achievements. He has been recognized as an academic all-American by the Golf Coaches Association of America in 2014.
Mr. Lester's interests outside of his professional life include playing golf and the guitar. He is also a sports enthusiast who enjoys football, baseball and basketball. In the future, he aims to grow his company's revenue and hire additional associates while outsourcing some work to focus more on client satisfaction.
