Orange County Transportation Authority Board Selects Genesis Bank Founding Board Member Tam Nguyen to Serve as Vice Chairman

Genesis Bank (“Genesis” or the “Bank”), announced today that Tam Nguyen, a founding Board member of Genesis Bank, has been unanimously elected to serve as Vice Chairman of the Orange County Transportation Authority’s (“OCTA”) Board of Directors. Mr. Nguyen has served on the OCTA Board since 2021.

Mr. Nguyen currently serves as the Chairman and Co-Owner of Advance Beauty College and is a founding Board member of Genesis Bank since its inception in August 2021. Additionally, Mr. Nguyen is the Co-Chair of the Orange County Diverse Business Leaders, along with his Hispanic and Black Chamber colleagues, and has taught business management at Cal State Fullerton as a faculty member since 2016. He is very active in the community serving in leadership roles for numerous public agencies and non-profits such as Metrolink, Vietnamese American Chamber of Commerce, Cal State Fullerton Philanthropic Board of Governors, Orange County United Way, Garden Grove Community Foundation, MemorialCare's Orange Coast Medical Center, and the OCTA where he now serves as Vice Chairman of the Board. Prior leadership roles also include involvement with the U.S. Bank Orange County Advisory Board, Pacific Trade Culture Alliance, and American Association of Cosmetology Schools.
