"Not only does this scholarship represent a meaningful boost to young scholars’ educational careers, it also represents the value Corvias places on caring for its employees. Access to educational opportunities is so crucial for young people to realize their dreams, and I am delighted this scholarship resides at the heart of our employee experience,” said Jen Sousa, Corvias Foundation’s Board President and Corvias Chief Operating Officer. “We strive to make Corvias a place where our team members feel valued, rewarded, and challenged to do their best work. We’re not successful if we’re not giving back.”

Corvias offers additional opportunities for team members to practice its three Core Principles: to deliver the highest level of customer service; to generously give back to the community; and to make Corvias the best place to work. These employee opportunities include volunteering, tuition reimbursement, a two-for-one donation match program, flexible work schedules, opportunities for professional growth, and a benefits package that is generous and flexible enough to meet employees where they are today and tomorrow.

Previous scholarship award winners include 2023 recipients Aiyana Myers and Declan Faherty. Aiyana attends North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, the largest of the historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs), where she pursues a degree in social work with a goal of supporting children. She is the child of Michelle Matthewson-Woodard, program office administrator for Corvias at Fort Liberty. Meanwhile, Declan attends the University of Rhode Island, where he pursues a degree in finance; he is the child of Kerrie Faherty, a human resources administrator who works at Corvias in the Warwick, Rhode Island, office.
