Sandata Technologies Selected by the State of Nevada for Electronic Visit Verification

Nevada marks the 22nd state contract for EVV won by Sandata

Sandata, a leading provider of Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) and other data-powered homecare solutions, today announced that it was selected by the State of Nevada to be its EVV vendor. This significant milestone marks Sandata's 22nd state contract win, solidifying its position as a market leader and trusted partner in the EVV industry.

Sandata has a proven track record of delivering innovative solutions, unmatched reliability, and exceptional customer service. Sandata solutions help optimize how care is being delivered in the home by enabling providers to leverage actionable data of the patient’s evolving needs and conditions and providing intelligent workflow tools to more effectively manage each person’s unique homecare needs.

“Sandata is honored to be selected by Nevada to accelerate their goals around consistent Electronic Visit Verification and ensure the state is compliant with the 21st Century Cures Act,” said Emmet O’Gara, Chief Executive Officer of Sandata.

EVV is a critical component of modern healthcare, enabling the electronic verification of visit information and streamlining the documentation process for homecare stakeholders. Per the request for proposal, the State of Nevada was ’seeking a robust and creative solution that addresses the challenging Medicaid and EVV environments . . . a highly configurable solution . . . and a vendor committed to a collaborative approach to addressing issues and identifying solutions.’

Sandata has demonstrated commitment to these needs through proven accurate, real-time tracking of caregiver visits, validating services rendered, and enhancing the overall quality of care provided to individuals across multiple states.

The stated goals for EVV per the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) include:

  • Improving health outcomes by ensuring that the highest quality home and community-based services (HCBS) are provided to vulnerable citizens of Nevada;
  • Ensuring timely HCBS service delivery for recipients including real time service gap reporting and monitoring;
  • Reducing Administrative burden for Nevada Medicaid providers;
  • Reducing and preventing fraud, waste, and abuse in the Nevada Medicaid program.

Sandata, in partnership with the State, will begin EVV program implementation in late-2023 and expects to fully-launch the EVV program by January 1, 2024. Updates will be provided to program stakeholders throughout 2023.
