CP Group’s Northpoint Center Wins 2023 BOMA International TOBY Award

Florida office park recognized for outstanding building quality and excellence in management and operations

CP Group, the largest office landlord in Florida, today announced that Northpoint Center — its three-building, 334,000-square-foot office development in Lake Mary, Fl. — took home the 2023 BOMA International TOBY Award in the Suburban Office Low-Rise category. The announcement was made at the recent BOMA International TOBY Awards Gala in Kansas City, Mo., as part of BOMA’s 2023 annual conference.

The Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) Awards are a prestigious accolade in the commercial real estate industry, recognizing quality in commercial buildings and excellence in building management and operations in communities nationwide. A comprehensive assessment is conducted during the competition, evaluating every aspect of a building’s operations — from community involvement, tenant relations, and site management to environmental and “green” policies and procedures.

After securing wins at the local level with BOMA Orlando and at the regional level with BOMA Southern Region, Northpoint Center achieved this esteemed international recognition for the first time, reinforcing its reputation as a world-class office environment that attracts leading businesses and innovators.

“We are thankful to BOMA for honoring our team’s commitment to delivering an exceptional workplace experience at Northpoint Center,” said Yahrah Blackman, General Manager at CP Group, who oversees the firm’s Central Florida assets. “Our team is proud of its daily efforts to deliver dynamic work environments and quality service to our tenants, but it is truly gratifying for those efforts to be recognized by our peers and industry at an international level.”

All nominees were required to obtain the BOMA 360 designation, a performance program that evaluates buildings against industry best practices in six major areas: building operations and management; life safety, security, and risk management; training and education; energy; environmental, sustainability, and wellness; and tenant/occupant relations and community involvement.

CP Group completed an extensive, year-long capital improvements program at Northpoint Center in October 2022, which included the renovation of all three building lobbies; adding a food truck court area with seating and views of Lake Mary; upgraded landscaping; development of a new conference room that seats over 30 people and is exclusively available to tenants; and updating the gym with new fitness equipment, weight machines, paint, and flooring. In tandem, Northpoint Center also announced five new leasing agreements, bringing its total leasing activity in Q4 of 2022 to approximately 30,000 square feet.

Northpoint Center sits within the desirable Lake Mary submarket of Orlando, which leads the market in population growth and housing values. The office park offers immediate access to Interstate-4, SR-417 and US 17-92 and sits within three miles of over 25 restaurants, hotels, and retail options.
