In 2025, the Tewaaraton Award will be celebrating its 25th year recognizing the best male and female lacrosse players across the country in partnership with the Native American community, and is the preeminent award at the forefront of one of the fastest growing sports in the country and world: lacrosse.

“I am honored to join the board of the Tewaaraton Foundation as the Tewaaraton Award is the most prestigious award in the sport of lacrosse, and one of the most distinguished awards in all of sports. The award recognizes the on-field performances of both men and women while honoring its Native American history, reflecting the values of America's first sport,” said Aaron Earls.

“Aaron is a pioneer in digital marketing, and we are excited to have him join the board to help us further engage with the lacrosse community online and expand our branding and marketing opportunities and partnerships,” said Jeffery Harvey, Chairman of the Board.

About The Tewaaraton Foundation

The Tewaaraton Award presented by Stifel, is recognized as the preeminent lacrosse award, annually honoring the top male and female college lacrosse player in the United States. Founded at the University Club of Washington, D.C., the award was first presented in 2001 with permission from the Mohawk Nation Council of Elders. “Tewaaraton” is the Mohawk word for lacrosse, and for 25 years The Tewaaraton Award has symbolized lacrosse’s Native American heritage. The Tewaaraton Foundation ensures the integrity of the selection process and advances the mission of the Foundation by focusing on cultural awareness and by presenting annual scholarships to students from the Haudenosaunee Confederacy – the Mohawk, Cayuga, Oneida, Onondaga, Seneca, and Tuscarora Nations.
