Craig Ehrlich Appointed Board Chair at LuskinOIC

Luskin Orthopaedic Institute for Children (LuskinOIC), an institution dedicated to providing outstanding, mission-based orthopaedic care to all children, irrespective of their background and insurance status, proudly announces the appointment of Mr. Craig Ehrlich as the new Chair of the Board.

“Craig Ehrlich has been a dedicated supporter and major donor to LuskinOIC for the past six years and joined the Board of Directors in 2022,” said Dr. Anthony Scaduto, president and Chief Executive Officer. “His commitment to the organization and his extensive professional background make him an exemplary choice to lead LuskinOIC into its next chapter.”

Mr. Ehrlich brings a wealth of experience from his distinguished professional career. For seven years, he was Chairman of the GSMA, the world's largest trade association for the telecommunications industry. He was also former Chairman of Carmel Ventures Asia (now Viola Ventures), a leading venture capital company. Mr. Ehrlich formerly served as the lead independent director for India-based Bharti Airtel, one of the world's largest telecommunication companies. He has sat on or chaired companies based in Hong Kong, Israel, China, India, Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand and the USA.

Known for his philanthropic efforts, Mr. Ehrlich is deeply passionate about providing equal opportunities for women. He has created scholarships for more than 80 women at UCLA in his mother’s name, specifically for women graduates of public high schools in the Los Angeles area. His commitment extends to supporting the LuskinOIC Scholarship Program, with a particular focus on patients and graduates from Orthopaedic Hospital Medical Magnet High School. Mr. Ehrlich has served on philanthropic boards and chaired many organizations, including Coro Southern California, the UCLA Foundation, and the Center for Global Management at UCLA Anderson School.

Mr. Ehrlich was the driving force behind the groundbreaking NIL partnership between LuskinOIC and the players of the UCLA Women’s Basketball Team. The partnership, supported by Coach Cori Close, underscores Mr. Ehrlich’s commitment to fostering positive change within communities.

In addition to his bachelor's degree from UCLA, Mr. Ehrlich has a master’s degree from Occidental College, and a postgraduate fellowship from the Coro Foundation. After residing in Hong Kong for 30 years, Mr. Ehrlich now divides his time between Los Angeles, Hong Kong, and the Philippines.

“As the newly appointed Board Chair, Craig Ehrlich is set to provide invaluable leadership and guidance to LuskinOIC,” said Dr. Scaduto. “His vision and dedication to the organization’s mission will help to propel LuskinOIC toward even greater success in the years to come.”
