Klick Health Wraps First Round of $1,000,000 Klick AI Prize, Awarding First $200,000 to Three Teams

Winning entries selected by judging panel of executives from Boehringer Ingelheim, Bristol Myers Squibb, Lily, Novartis, Otsuka, Pfizer, Sanofi, and other leading life sciences companies

Klick Health Co-Founder and Chairman Leerom Segal today confirmed that after receiving over 200 submissions from team members across the company, a judging panel of life science company executives has selected three winning entries for the first round of the $1,000,000 Klick Prize. Today’s news follows Segal’s surprise announcement in December that Klick will give away $1,000,000 in 2024 to its people for game-changing AI ideas that can fuel the success of healthcare clients.

“We were blown away by both the incredible volume and caliber of submissions in our first wave of the Klick Prize and can’t thank our people enough for challenging their thinking and rising to the occasion,” Segal said. “We are already investing in evolving the best ideas into prototypes and, based on the judging sessions, we are confident they will provide tremendous value to our clients.”

Two members of the agency’s Medical team, a tech developer, and a project manager are splitting $100,000 in prize money for their innovative, pharma marketing compliance tool concept, based on an advanced four-tiered AI approach that could save an average of 10 business days per marketing cycle.

Two other submissions tied for second place, each receiving $50,000. One of these entries, a unique, personalized AI training idea for pharma sales reps, was developed by some Client Success team members. The other, developed by some Strategy team members, revolves around creating synthetic personas and digital twins to automate routine tasks and empower healthcare professionals to focus on more strategic and creative work.

Raising the bar with brilliant, pragmatic AI ideas for life sciences

Client judges from across the life sciences industry reviewed and evaluated the submissions based on criteria, including impact, pragmatism, market differentiation, and desirability. The judges included C-Suite executives from BeiGene, Boehringer Ingelheim, Bristol Myers Squibb, Haleon, Lily, New Amsterdam, Novartis, Novocure, Otsuka, Pfizer, Sanofi, and Sobi.

“We are incredibly grateful to our accomplished panel of industry judges for helping elevate standards with their critical thinking and commitment to continuing to raise the health innovation bar,” Segal said.

Round two of the Klick Prize is now open and the judges will reconvene this summer. Klick will award another $200,000 in both rounds two and three, with all first-place winners becoming contenders for the $400,000 grand finale later in the year.

Today’s news is the latest in the company’s ongoing AI and machine-learning innovations created to help Klick clients and team members achieve even greater success..
