Scientology Volunteer Ministers in South Africa Bring Positive Changes in their Communities

This past week, the Scientology Volunteer Ministers groups across South Africa have put their knowledge of the Tools for Life to good use by implementing what they have learned to create better conditions in their communities. The many groups reported to their Headquarters at Castle Kyalami in Midrand that they helped children with study barriers and turned them into enthusiastic students; they delivered “assists” – a technique to relieve pain or trauma after losses – and produced “miracles” with it; or becoming more aware of their environment, they rolled up their sleeves to create a better environment for themselves and those around them.

Last week, nurses and emergency services personnel delivered “Assists” to their patients in clinics and hospitals to great results. “Now equipped with the Tools for Life, I told myself that I had to do something about it and could no longer let her in that state any further. I applied one of the assists that I had learned to my mother and after less than an hour, she stood up and started working as if life had carried on normally for the past three years. I could not believe my eyes. That was a real miracle of the Tools for Life courses from L. Ron Hubbard,” said one of the Emergency Services workers.

Other Volunteer Minister groups across Gauteng worked to increase the living standards in their area and reduce crime through administering community cleanups. They reported notable changes in the attitude of the community, who thanked them for their work and are no longer littering or dumping in illegal areas.

A number of other Volunteer Minister Groups also delivered simple Reading for a Meaning technology to at-risk students who are actively showing improvements in their literacy and participation at school. “When I see kids and teenagers who are about to drop school now being all excited with their study to a point where they don’t want to go play but they just want to come and get their learner support, I feel so proud. I know I am doing something very right and it revives me as well,” said Juliette Mfomadi.

Sandile Hlayisi, Chairperson of the Volunteer Ministers Association, stated, “No matter the difficulties one may be facing in life, there are practical answers on can learn and can apply to better one’s own life, those around one, and family and friends. It provides an exact technology with step-by-step procedures that can be used to handle problems.”

Hlayisi mentioned that the Scientology Volunteer Ministers are working hard in establishing more social partnerships so they can assist as many people as possible.
