Mr. Adogame is a leading scholar of the African diaspora. He earned a PhD in history of religions from the University of Bayreuth in Germany and has served as associate professor of World Christianity and religious studies, and director international at School of Divinity, New College, at The University of Edinburgh in Scotland.

With this tour, Professor Adogame, who teaches Religion and Society at the prestigious Princeton Theological Seminary, aimed to provide his students with insight into the life and achievements of L. Ron Hubbard.

The Honorable Mayor William Curtis welcomed the prestigious visitors to Bay Head providing an understanding of the city and its seafaring tradition which prompted Professor Adogame and his students to engage in the conversation asking several questions about the town. When asked what makes Bay Head special, Mayor Curtis replied, "The people." He emphasized the warmth and friendliness of the citizens as what truly makes Bay Head unique, as well as its beautiful large cedar homes and the historical aspects

The visit was particularly serendipitous, as Mayor Curtis remembered that leaders from Princeton Theological Seminary had assisted the Founding Fathers of Bay Head in establishing the Bay Head Chapel, located on the southwest corner of Rte 35 (Main Avenue) and Bridge Avenue.

Reflecting on his tour of the landmark Professor Adogame remarked, "L. Ron Hubbard was an exceptional individual, gifted, charismatic, and endowed with providing solutions to existential, mundane, and spiritual problems."

The L. Ron Hubbard Residence, the Birthplace of Dianetics, offers tours by appointment.
