Museum Artifact Storage Solution For Musical History Collection: Report Released

Spacesaver (800-255-8170) has released a report detailing its recent museum cabinet project for which it created secure yet visually accessible storage solutions for the industry's valuable musical artifacts.

The report details how The Church Studio chose to work with Spacesaver Corporation to customize a storage solution for its museum collection. The solution met two vital needs - preserving the musical artifacts without compromising their visibility for visitors. Spacesaver used two proprietary designs to meet these needs: its 424 Series flat file cabinets and 920 Series: Preservation Cabinets.

Spacesaver's preservation cabinets, showcased in The Church Studio's new room - The Archive - were chosen for their versatility. These cabinets can be reconfigured with drawers, hanging rods, or other accessories. Spacesaver preservation cabinets also have tempered UV-protected glass to protect musical artifacts from wear and damage due to light exposure.

The preservation cabinets feature a mix of flat file drawers and large glass cabinets of various sizes that can be used to exhibit gold albums, the outfits of famous artists, ticket stubs, concert posters, and other important artifacts.

The archival flat file storage cabinets, another key element of The Church Studio project, allow museum visitors to view historical documents important to the Tulsa music scene while ensuring the artifacts are protected.

These flat file cabinets have stainless steel tracks and plated rollers for smooth, easy operation and are designed to deliver years of continuous use.

Spacesaver's museum storage solution at The Church Studio safeguards the valuable historical collection, protecting it from fire or water. As with all its storage units, these cabinets were manufactured in the U.S.A. and made from solid, heavy-gauge steel with reinforced welded construction. The cabinets are also painted with a non-offgassing powder coat finish, giving them a polished, professional, tidy appearance.

According to a spokesperson for Spacesaver, "Spacesaver understands some things must be seen to believe. This is why we prioritize visibility when designing our industry-leading museum cabinets. Going a step further we engineer and manufacture our systems to last - allowing generations of patrons to view these artifacts in the pristine condition they were intended to be seen."
