Merck & Co. (NYSE: MRK) announced a $430 million deal to acquire Inspire Pharmaceuticals Inc. (Nasdaq: ISPH). Shares of Merck eased 11 cents to close at $33.16 while Inspire stock surged 99 cents to close at $4.97.
