Pay for S&P 500 chiefs climbs 14%: AFL-CIO

The average CEO pay packages of a majority of companies at the S&P 500 companies was $12.9 million in 2011, an increase of 14% from 2010, according to database of compensation packages for executives released Thursday by the labor union AFL-CIO.
