PR Log - Mar 20, 2013 - FrostByte Media Inc.’s singer-songwriter, Melissa Bel, will open for Juno award winning artist Matthew Good in London, England this April. Bel – the Burlington Ontario native – will open both of Good’s concert dates in London on April 8th and 9th. Melissa Bel has been busy in the studio recording new material for an album that is expected to debut later this year. She recently released a single off her upcoming album called “All the Wrong Things” that was touted in New Canadian Music’s “Top Tracks of the Week” chart. Bel, had just returned from a performance in Montreal when informed that she will join label mate Matthew Good by opening both shows in London, England. "I'm incredibly honoured and excited to have this opportunity to open for such an iconic Canadian artist as Matthew Good. I can’t wait!" said Bel.
Matthew Good is a Canadian musician whose multi-platinum career has spanned almost two decades. Between 1995 and 2012, Good has released nine studio LPs, three EPs and a live album. All of Goodʼs full length studio releases have achieved at least gold status and since 1999 none have debuted outside of the top five. Good’s substantial and ever-growing fan base outside of Canada has contributed to sales of over one million records worldwide. His most recent release, Old Fighters, is a collection of live and studio recorded tracks from his career to date. A new studio record is due out this fall.
At just 23, Melissa Bel has released 2 albums with a third album expected later this year. She performed a 14 day tour in Germany to kick off her first album, Brave, and continues to build a solid fan base touring on a regular basis promoting her recent EP, Distance, that was released last April.
“London music fans are in for a special treat in April when Melissa Bel opens for her music label mate, the extremely musically gifted Matthew Good, at these great UK venues,” added FrostByte Media’s Vice President/AR, Tom Treumuth.
