Kindred Appoints Tammy Barker as Senior Vice President of Clinical and Residential Services of Its Nursing Center Division

Kindred Healthcare, Inc. (“Kindred” or the “Company”) (NYSE:KND) announced today that it has appointed Tammy Barker as Senior Vice President of Clinical and Residential Services of its Nursing Center Division, effective September 2, 2014.

Ms. Barker will be responsible for the clinical and residential services provided in Kindred’s 98 nursing centers and six assisted living facilities, including clinical operations, dietary services and training. She comes to Kindred from HCR ManorCare where she most recently served as the Assistant Vice President Quality Support Services. Ms. Barker has extensive experience in all aspects of clinical services. She began her career in acute care nursing, and has spent the past 20 years dedicated to sub-acute and long-term care for patients and residents in roles including Director of Nursing Services and Director of Clinical Services.
