The Spark Awards announces a major change to the Spark Product Design entry schedule. This popular event will now take place from January 10 to June 1, 2015.

"Spark is beginning the 9th year in this annual series of design competitions," Spark President, Peter Kuchnicki stated. "As we've grown, so has the Product Design category, clearly demonstrated at this year's vast CES event in Las Vegas. With well over 170,000 visitors and 3,600 exhibitors, this is the world's largest design gathering. Thousands of products are launched here every year.
To better serve our product designers and their clients and companies, Spark is re-aligning its schedule to synchronize with this marketing cycle."
According to Kuchnicki, companies that announce new products in January will now have a new marketing option as they ramp-up and roll-out their latest innovations. "The new Spark Spring schedule is a perfect fit for marketers in product launch mode. Spark entry categories include all traditional and cutting-edge categories, from appliances to electronics to wired homes and wearables"
"Each year, Spark judges choose, without limits or maximum quotas, a rich selection of designs that break new ground. We want to encourage thinking outside the box and reward it accordingly," stated Spark Strategic Analyst, Clark Kellogg. "Spark exists not to approve the safe, slick and most polished of designs--plenty of other competitions do that. A design may have a few rough edges and still win our highest award—if it Sparks!
