Bryan, Texas based law firm, Banks & Banks, Attorneys at Law, P.C., has announced their win over a big insurance company in the case of Wilson vs Mora 2015. The case revolved around an incident that took place on New Year's Eve 2011, when roommate Ruben Mora shot and injured James Scott Wilson. Wilson took a bullet to the lung and sustained serious injuries which resulted in medical fees of $26,485.00.

Although the injuries ended in a significant amount of medical bills, the insurance company would only settle claims to a maximum of $7,500. The outcome of the trial made it clear that the insurance agency viewed the case quite differently from the jury. Wilson was found to have suffered damages to the amount of $124,735, and was awarded $106,024 due to a contributing negligence of 15%.
