Milwaukee Cider Fest Scheduled For October 3

The Milwaukee Cider Fest, in Wisconsin, has been scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 3. The cider drinking event will be held between 1pm and 4:30pm, although VIP ticket holders will be welcomed from 12 noon onward. The event will take place at Schlitz Park.

"Cider is such a delicious drink and we want everybody to be able to enjoy it," says Zoe Baker from Milwaukee Cider Fest. "The Cider Fest is inspired by the German Oktoberfest, where various beers are sampled and enjoyed in camaraderie and good spirit. Previous events have been incredibly successful and we anticipate this year will be no different."

At the event, over 40 ciders will be available to sample. Anyone who has purchased a ticket will be able to sample as many of those as they want. There will also be an Oktoberfest Bier tent, where people can enjoy the different ciders and each other's company. Live entertainment will also be provided at the MKE Cider Fest, and all attendants will be given a commemorative tasting glass.

To date, over 2,000 tickets have been sold for the event, and they are running out quickly. As such, anyone interested in a day of tasting some of the world's most amazing ciders in a fun-filled environment are encouraged to get their tickets very soon. Additionally, there is only a $20 difference between the standard ticket and the VIP ticket, so those are selling out particularly rapidly.

The Wisconsin Cider Fest celebrates ciders from all over the world. Ciders are a type of beer made from apples, although many also include other fruits and particularly fruits that are popular among foragers. Some ciders are still, although the majority are sparkling. They come in different proof percentages. Typically, the percentage is between 4.5% and 4.7%. However, some ciders, and particularly those brewed in this country, can reach as much as 7%. Additionally, some of the ciders that will be offered during the Cider Fest have been created using other types of alcohol, including tequila, which also affects the alcohol percentage of the drink.
