STEER Recognizes Aggreko a Second Time for Environmental Stewardship

Aggreko plc has won the Environmental Stewardship Award at the fourth annual 2016 Eagle Ford Excellence Awards luncheon, presented by the South Texas Energy and Economic Roundtable (STEER) on Nov. 30 in San Antonio, Texas.

The Environmental Stewardship Award honors companies working in the Eagle Ford who make it their obligation to preserve the environment in a responsible manner. The award was bestowed on Aggreko for the company’s power automation system that eliminates idling and reduces emissions, regardless of the fuel source. The innovative application can also save more than 60 percent in fuel costs and increases uptime, as it lowers maintenance needs and reduces failures associated with overheating and excessive idle time.

The company was recognized with the same award in 2014 for its use of natural gas power solutions in the oil patch.
