Former TOPGUN Frank Hecker Files to Run for Congress in Oregon's 3rd District

Navy Veteran Frank Hecker Seeks Republican Nomination in May 19th Primary

PORTLAND, OR, March 26, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Driven by a strong desire to serve his community, former Navy fighter pilot, TOPGUN graduate, and retired businessman Frank Hecker recently filed to represent Oregon's 3rd District in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Hecker was first called to public service when he voluntarily enlisted in the Navy during the Vietnam Era, flying as a Navy fighter pilot where he and his fellow men were prepared to give up their lives in the service of the country they love. He graduated #1 in his class for AOCS and was selected to attend TOPGUN Fighter Weapons School.

After six years of respected military service, Hecker moved to manufacturing, consulting for technology companies like Dell, Boeing, and IBM, and government subsidiaries like NASA and the Department of Defense Logistics Agency. His business background and distinguished public service makes him uniquely suited to serve Oregon's 3rd District.

"I want to make government work for everyone, not just entrenched politicians and the big businesses and unions supporting them," Hecker said. "There are over 700,000 people in Oregon District 3, and I believe it is the responsibility for a person who holds the office of US Congressman to represent all of them, whether they are Democrat, Republican, Independent, or not even registered to vote."

Hecker will be one of three Republican candidates vying to represent Oregon's District 3 in the state's primary election May 19th. To register to vote, visit sos.oregon.gov/voting. For more information about Frank Hecker, visit heckerforcongress.com.
