Steve Greenlee to Retire as President of ExxonMobil Upstream Business Development Company; Linda DuCharme Elected as Corporate Vice President and Appointed President of Upstream Business Development Company

Steve Greenlee, president of ExxonMobil Upstream Business Development Company, has elected to retire on July 1 after more than 38 years of service.

Exxon Mobil Corporation’s (NYSE:XOM) board of directors has appointed Linda DuCharme as president of ExxonMobil Upstream Business Development Company and elected her vice president of Exxon Mobil Corporation. She will retain her current position as president of ExxonMobil Upstream Integrated Solutions Company.

Greenlee joined Exxon Production Research Company in 1981 after receiving a bachelor’s degree in geology from Duke University and a master’s degree in geological oceanography from the University of Rhode Island. His work at Exxon Production Research involved geological and geophysical research, collaboration with Exxon’s worldwide operating affiliates and technical training.

Beginning in 1993, Greenlee worked in several Exxon and ExxonMobil affiliates and assumed supervisory and management responsibility for projects involving exploration, production and business development operations in Russia, Kazakhstan, the Gulf of Mexico, Brazil and Saudi Arabia.

Greenlee became upstream advisor at Exxon Mobil Corporation headquarters in Irving, Texas in 2002 and was appointed vice president for Asia Pacific, ExxonMobil Exploration Company in 2004. He was elected president of ExxonMobil Upstream Research Company in 2009 and president of ExxonMobil Exploration Company in 2010.

DuCharme joined Exxon Company USA in 1986 after graduating from Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. She spent her early career in engineering and project management for production operations in the Gulf of Mexico and subsequently had assignments in the United States and Europe in business development and marketing.

Working for ExxonMobil Gas and Power Marketing, in 2011 DuCharme transferred to London as director of ExxonMobil International Limited for Europe, Russia and Caspian. She assumed the role of vice president of Americas, Africa and Asia Pacific New Markets in 2015.

In 2016, DuCharme was appointed president of ExxonMobil Global Services Company and in 2019 became president of ExxonMobil Upstream Integrated Solutions Company.
