With traffic fatalities on the rise, Phoenix looks for safety solutions

A report from the Arizona Department of Transportation noted 1,294 traffic fatalities in 2022, an 8.6% increase from 2021. The report also indicated 302 pedestrian and 48 cyclist deaths – both up from the prior year.
