SAN JOSÉ, COSTA RICA / ACCESS Newswire / October 6, 2026 / Americas Cardroom has detailed Winning Poker Network's response to remote-access security concerns, combining direct player contact, precautionary ScreenShield activation and guidance sent to other online poker operators on implementing similar protection.

The network contacted players on September 29 after identifying software capabilities that met its detection criteria. ScreenShield was activated for those players as an additional precaution. Detecting remote-access or screen-control software does not itself establish that a computer was compromised.

WPN reviewed its systems, poker software and official downloads and found no compromise. Its Game Integrity team is conducting an investigation into relevant player and account activity. Appropriate compensation will be determined from the findings if wrongdoing and harm to WPN players are established.

ScreenShield protects table content against the screen-capture and screen-sharing methods it covers. The player's own view remains available, allowing normal play. The feature does not eliminate every possible security threat and can affect legitimate table streaming, recording and screen sharing.

Those limitations explain why the feature was not enabled for every account. Players may use recording for content or completed-session review, while remote-access tools can support work meetings, collaboration and IT assistance. WPN plans regular scans and more proactive activation when its detection criteria are met.

Any WPN player who wants ScreenShield can request it at support@winningpokernetwork.com and should allow up to 48 hours for activation. WPN is also developing a client control that will let players switch the feature on or off directly.

ACR Poker's cooperation with GTO Wizard provides another component of the security work. The partners cross-check whether played situations were solved in GTO Wizard and are working to implement analysis across final tables. Coverage of every ACR final table is the goal, rather than a statement of universal current checking.

GTO Wizard's public Fair Play Check now includes preflop ICM solutions and their timestamps. WPN's separate sharing of table-protection guidance lets other operators evaluate the approach for their own players; it does not establish adoption by those operators.
