Renesas Announces Leadership Transition in Engineering Organization

Renesas Electronics Corporation (TSE:6723, “Renesas”), a premier supplier of advanced semiconductor solutions, today announced a leadership transition within its Engineering organization. At his own request, Balaji Kanigicherla, Vice President, Head of Engineering and Chief Technology Officer (CTO), will step down from his role, effective June 5, 2026.

The company has appointed Manoher Bommena, Vice President of Innovation Office and EDA Technology, and Ramkumar Subramanian, Vice President of Business Operations & Partnerships, both from the Engineering Group, as Interim Co-Heads of Engineering, effective June 6. In this role, they will jointly lead the company’s engineering, development and innovation efforts.

Renesas has initiated a search for a permanent Head of Engineering and CTO to support its continued growth and technology strategy.
