Castle Rock technology company AAERO AI will debut Uncle Kevin, an AI-powered robotic "horse," in the Douglas County Fair Parade, celebrating the past, present and future.

Saddle up, Castle Rock. This year’s Douglas County Fair Parade is about to make a little history.

For generations, the parade has celebrated the spirit of the American West with horses, wagons, and a look back at where we’ve come from. This year, AAERO AI is proud to help tell the next chapter by introducing what we believe is the first AI-powered robotic “horse” to participate in the parade.

Meet Uncle Kevin.

Unlike the four-legged cowboys of the Old West, Uncle Kevin won’t be fueled by hay and oats. He’ll be running on batteries, artificial intelligence, and a whole lot of curiosity.

As the parade celebrates the past and present, AAERO AI hopes Uncle Kevin offers a fun glimpse into the future of technology and how robotics can improve everyday life.

While he may look like something straight out of tomorrow, Uncle Kevin is being trained for very real-world jobs, including helping improve accessibility for individuals with disabilities, assisting with home and property inspections, documenting construction progress, supporting public safety, and performing other tasks that can make work safer and more efficient.

“Our goal is to show people that robotics doesn’t have to be intimidating,” said Sean Hakes, Chief Marketing Officer of AAERO AI. “Technology should serve people. We thought there was no better place to introduce Uncle Kevin than a hometown parade that celebrates both our heritage and our future.”

Parade-goers can watch Uncle Kevin strolling through downtown Castle Rock alongside the Prestige Contractors float, where he’ll be making friends, turning heads, and proving that the future can have a little Western personality.
