What Happened?

A number of stocks jumped in the afternoon session after software-as-a-service and broader technology equities rebounded as falling Treasury yields attracted dip-buyers back into the market following a sharp, AI-driven sell-off in previous sessions.

As reported by CNBC, major equity averages—including the tech-heavy Nasdaq—moved higher as market sentiment stabilized and capital rotated back into quality software. In the previous session, CNBC noted that shares across the artificial intelligence and broader technology space had faced heightened selling pressure, rattling investor confidence regarding near-term monetization and the heavy debt burdens funding the AI sector.

However, CNBC observed that this pullback proved short-lived as dip-buyers re-entered the market, viewing the sector's valuation reset as an attractive entry point for companies with fortress balance sheets. Contributing heavily to the improved sentiment, CNBC reported that the benchmark 10-year Treasury yield—which recently hit its highest point since 2002—pulled back, providing a crucial reprieve for the market. CNBC highlighted this relationship, explaining that falling yields provide a tailwind for high-growth SaaS stocks because lower interest rates make the long-dated future cash flows of these tech companies more attractive to investors.

Ultimately, CNBC noted that this swift recovery highlights an enduring investor appetite for leading software firms, even as Wall Street remains highly sensitive to how quickly massive capital investments in artificial intelligence will translate into sustainable corporate profits.

The stock market overreacts to news, and big price drops can present good opportunities to buy high-quality stocks.

Among others, the following stocks were impacted:

Zooming In On HubSpot (HUBS)

HubSpot’s shares are extremely volatile and have had 57 moves greater than 5% over the last year. In that context, today’s move indicates the market considers this news meaningful but not something that would fundamentally change its perception of the business.

The previous big move we wrote about was 14 days ago when the stock gained 6.6% on the news that strength across artificial intelligence and technology equities helped lift major market averages, offsetting macroeconomic headwinds from Treasury yields near 24-year highs. Equities showed resilience as strong investor appetite for artificial intelligence hardware and software providers pushed the sector higher for a second straight session. The momentum in tech shares helped counterbalance significant pressure stemming from benchmark Treasury yields trading around multi-decade highs alongside rising crude oil prices. Typically, higher yields elevate financing costs and weigh on the valuations of growth-oriented companies. However, market participants remained focused on underlying enterprise AI adoption, evaluating incoming corporate earnings reports, and awaiting key macroeconomic data, including the upcoming jobs report.

HubSpot is down 38% since the beginning of the year, and at $237.03 per share, it is trading 52.1% below its 52-week high of $494.58 from November 2025. Investors who bought $1,000 worth of HubSpot’s shares 5 years ago would now be looking at only $299.70.

ALSO WORTH WATCHING: Nvidia’s Quiet Partner. Nvidia’s chips cost a hundred grand. The connectors that make them work cost even more. One company makes them all.

Every AI server needs specialized infrastructure the chip companies don’t make. High-speed cables. Power connectors. Thermal sensors. This 90-year-old company built a monopoly on it. The AI boom just started. This stock is still flying under the radar. Claim The Stock Ticker Here for FREE.
