Lydia Pearl Pentz has won Best Actress in a Comedy Feature Film, while Cali Scolari has won Best Acting Debut, recognizing the powerful, heartfelt, and hilariously sharp performances both actresses delivered in this breakout indie comedy.
“These two rising stars brought their characters to life with such fearless energy and nuance,” said director Timothy Hines. “Lydia made us laugh, cry, and everything in between. Cali, in her first leading role, created a character so vulnerable and authentic, she didn’t just arrive in Hollywood — she kicked the door down.”

Preview screenings have brought glowing reviews of the pair from critics. Jessie Hobson, of Cinedump praised their acting, “Lydia Pearl Pentz and Cali Scolari (in her feature debut) play the Wilde sisters with a delightful obliviousness.” and, “Pentz, in particular, steals scenes with a mix of deadpan delivery and endearing physical comedy—her timing and presence make Tinsley the film’s real highlight.”

About the Film:
In The Wilde Girls, heiress sisters Mattie (Cali Scolari) and Tinsley Wilde (Lydia Pearl Pentz) have it all—until they don’t. Set during the Great Depression, the pampered socialites lose their fortune and are sent by their scheming aunts to survive in the wild Pacific Northwest in hopes of claiming a long-lost inheritance. The catch? They have to live in a crumbling wilderness cabin... and they might be hunted.
As the sisters stumble through forest survival, a rogue assassin (Matt Silver) and a reclusive mountain man (Teddy Smith) become unexpected obstacles and allies. Equal parts absurd comedy and tender-hearted survival tale, the film explores what happens when society girls are stripped of privilege, plunged into nature, and forced to grow.

Inspired by the whimsical storytelling styles of Paper Moon, O Brother, Where Art Thou?, and The Ballad of Buster Scruggs, The Wilde Girls blends stylized dreamlike set pieces with raw natural wilderness, creating a visual and emotional contrast between human artifice and nature’s unfiltered truth.
Shot on location in the deep forests of Washington State, the forest becomes its own living, breathing character—at once magical and menacing.
