NEW YORK - July 14, 2026 - Michelle Soutier, a nationally recognized dance industry leader and owner of Miller Street Dance Academy and Gold Dance Life, has achieved a landmark milestone in her career as the Co-Producer of “Beaches, A New Musical,” now playing on Broadway at the iconic Majestic Theatre. The highly anticipated production officially opened on April 22, 2026, bringing one of the most beloved stories of friendship and resilience to the world's most celebrated stage.
Based on Iris Rainer Dart's best-selling novel and the beloved 1988 film, “Beaches, A New Musical” follows the extraordinary 30-year friendship of Cee Cee Bloom and Bertie White from childhood pen pals to roommates, rivals, and lifelong confidantes. The production stars Jessica Vosk and Kelli Barrett in the lead roles and features the Grammy Award-winning song “Wind Beneath My Wings,” alongside an original score by legendary songwriter Mike Stoller with lyrics by Dart. The show runs for a limited engagement through September 6, 2026, before embarking on a national tour across the United States.
Soutier brings a lifetime of passion for the performing arts to this Broadway production. As the owner of Miller Street Dance Academy, a premier dance school with two locations, she has spent decades training and inspiring the next generation of dancers. She is also the founder of Gold Dance Life, a national convention and continuing education company serving both children and dance teachers across the country.
