The inaugural list honors 250 attorneys across 40 practice areas for their leadership, professional influence, and demonstrated commitment to clients and communities. Ayar founded Ayar Law in 2012. A metro Detroit native, he returned to Michigan after practicing tax law in southern California and saw that many taxpayers facing the IRS had few qualified, ethical places to turn. Today the firm represents individuals and businesses from offices in Farmington Hills, Grand Rapids, and Ann Arbor in audits, collections, criminal tax investigations, Tax Court litigation, and appeals before the IRS and the Michigan Department of Treasury.

Ayar holds a J.D. and an LL.M. in Taxation from the University of San Diego School of Law.
