Marquis Who's Who Honors Claudie Phillips for Community Leadership

UNIONDALE, NY / ACCESS Newswire / April 2, 2026 / Marquis Who's Who honors Claudie Phillips for her community leadership, cultivating success for the organizations and individuals she serves. As the president of CP Consulting Services LLC, Ms. Phillips draws on her extensive background in food service, education and nonprofit leadership positions to offer specialized training and consulting in nutrition, with a strong focus on schools and communities.

About Ms. Phillips

Ms. Phillips's expertise in food service began early, when she learned to cook on her family farm. Her skills soon led her to pursue a career in home economics and nutrition. Following general studies at the University of Arkansas in 1971, she earned a bachelor's degree in home arts and home economics from Chicago State University in 1975 before swiftly moving on to her master's degree in education from National Louise University in 1985.

Early on in her career, Ms. Phillips gained invaluable technical skills as a computer operator for Mutual Trust Life Insurance Company, where she became proficient in graphic design and typesetting. She further served as president of the Illinois School Nutrition Association from 1993 to 1994 before establishing CP Consulting Services in 2019. She also held leadership roles, including director of food and nutrition services for School District U-46 from 2009 to 2018. She held several prominent positions at Chicago Public Schools, including test kitchen supervisor and assistant food service director.

Through CP Consulting Services, Ms. Phillips selects projects where she believes she can make a significant difference. She assists with school and food service operations by helping directors restructure their nutritional programs with an eye toward long-term success. For food services, she draws on her expertise to create accurate product formulation statements and child nutrition labels, ensuring products meet federal standards and align with school needs. One of her programs, "Total Schools and Community Involvement," has become a cornerstone of her consulting work.

A Commitment to the Next Generation

Ms. Phillips is currently focusing on nurturing the next generation. A published author of "Knowing Your Heritage Matters: Staying Connected Matters More," she has recently been working with young children on their journey to becoming authors. Her six-week program does not focus on writing itself but on wellness, including physical, mental, financial and social issues to prepare children to be well-rounded individuals.

Attributing her success to the influence of great mentors throughout her life, Ms. Phillips's advice to others is simple: be prepared and get involved. "Don't wait for someone to notice you. Be prepared when opportunity presents itself." She is also an active member and founder of The ICONS Foundation.

Looking to the future, Ms. Phillips plans to continue writing and developing programs that expand knowledge and guide individuals on their path to success. When not working in nutrition and advocacy, she enjoys traveling, writing and spending time with her two grandchildren. She hopes to be remembered as someone who willingly shared her experiences to help others find a path to a life of equal success.
