The BPF Group Leads Fundraising Campaign in Partnership with Mayweather Boxing + Fitness Porter Ranch to Honor LA Firefighters

Porter Ranch, CA – In the aftermath of the devastating 2025 LA Wildfires, The BPF Group has launched a powerful community fundraising initiative, “Checking In – Are You Good?”, in partnership with Mayweather Boxing + Fitness Porter Ranch, to honor the mental and emotional resilience of the firefighters who risked their lives to protect Southern California communities.

This Buy One, Give One campaign invites supporters to purchase a limited-edition “Checking In – Are You Good?” tribute t-shirt for $35. For every shirt sold, a Tribute Tee will be donated to a local firefighter in Porter Ranch or surrounding areas. In addition, proceeds will fund a wellness workshop led by a licensed mental health professional with experience supporting first responders.

While the campaign’s primary mission is to uplift LA’s frontline heroes, it also acknowledges the broader emotional toll of the wildfires. Mayweather Boxing + Fitness is also checking in on its own members, many of whom were deeply impacted by the vicarious trauma caused by the relentless wildfire imagery and media coverage. This initiative reflects a shared belief that mental health care is essential for everyone—not just those on the front lines.

The initiative aims to bring awareness to firefighter mental health, a critical issue often overlooked once the flames are extinguished. According to national data, firefighters face significantly higher rates of PTSD, depression, and suicide than the general public.

“This campaign goes beyond apparel—it’s a wellness-driven movement designed to show our gratitude while addressing real needs,” said Lisa C. Williams, Founder & CEO of The BPF Group. “Through this partnership, we’re combining fitness, mental health, and social impact to check in on the heroes who show up for all of us.”

Mayweather Boxing + Fitness Porter Ranch is playing an active role in the campaign by engaging its member base and hosting a Tribute Workout in May, during Mental Health Awareness Month and International Firefighters’ Day. Members will have the opportunity to train alongside local firefighters—fostering connection, gratitude, and community wellness.

“At Mayweather Boxing + Fitness, we believe in both physical and mental strength,” said Tennille Wilkinson, Owner of Mayweather Boxing + Fitness Porter Ranch. “Our gym is more than a place to train; it’s a community where we check in on each other. This campaign gives us the chance to give back and be part of something greater. These firefighters protect us every day—this is our moment to stand for them.”

The “Checking In – Are You Good?” campaign is open to the public and will run through the first week of April. T-shirt quantities are limited, and all proceeds directly support the production of Tribute Tees, campaign materials, and firefighter wellness resources.
