AlertMedia, the world’s leading threat intelligence, emergency communication, and travel risk management provider, today announced it has hired Marc Ostryniec as its Chief Revenue Officer. As CRO, Ostryniec will lead all aspects of AlertMedia’s global sales organization, including go-to-market strategy, channel partnerships, and personnel development to support AlertMedia’s continued momentum and rapidly growing customer base.

“Marc shares our belief that the world’s best companies are those that build great products along with great teams, which was one of many reasons that he was a clear choice for AlertMedia,” said Christopher Kenessey, CEO at AlertMedia. “I’m confident the leadership team and I will benefit from Marc’s extensive experience, and I look forward to working together during this next phase of growth.”

Ostryniec brings more than 20 years of enterprise technology sales leadership experience, spanning multiple industries, including retail, financial services, and software. Most recently, he served as Chief Sales Officer at BigCommerce (NASDAQ: BIGC), a leading ecommerce platform provider, where he played a crucial role in growing the company’s enterprise account base, resulting in a more than 300 percent increase in annualized recurring revenue during his tenure.

Before BigCommerce, Ostryniec served as Head of Sales for Experian Partner Solutions, where he led sales and go-to-market strategy following the company’s $360M acquisition of CSID. Prior to the acquisition, he was instrumental in growing CSID’s annual revenues by more than 700 percent, leading to its successful sale to Experian. Through his career, Ostryniec has held leadership positions at a variety of enterprise software companies, including Bazaarvoice, TATA Consultancy Services, and Trilogy.

“I was immediately drawn to AlertMedia’s unique culture where every employee genuinely believes in the company’s mission to help organizations keep their people safe, which aligns with my values,” said Ostryniec. “I’m thrilled to join a company with an already incredible reputation as a market disruptor that is singularly focused on helping our customers build safer, more resilient organizations.”

AlertMedia was recently named one of the fastest-growing companies in North America on the Deloitte Technology Fast 500™ for the third consecutive year as well as Inc. Magazine’s Best Workplaces for 2023. The company has also been recognized on Forbes’ Best Startup Employers list, Austin Business Journal's Best Places to Work, and Built In Austin’s 100 Best Places to Work in Austin.
