Construction technology leader joins SelectView to strengthen client relationships and support the company’s next phase of growth

SelectView, a trusted construction technology partner specializing in purpose-built solutions that help Trimble Viewpoint Vista and Spectrum users turn complex ERP data into actionable business insights including reporting, and dashboard solutions, announced today that Janice Newland has joined the company as Director of Sales and Business Development. Her appointment was effective August 31, 2026.

Newland will lead SelectView’s sales and business development efforts as the company expands its market presence and introduces new products. Her role will include generating new business, strengthening relationships with existing clients, developing strategic partnerships, guiding go-to-market strategy, and identifying opportunities in new markets. She will also help build and lead the company’s sales team.

“Janice brings extensive construction technology experience, strong industry relationships, and a genuine commitment to helping clients solve business challenges,” said Bill Wagnon, CEO of SelectView. “She understands the construction industry and knows how to connect practical technology with the needs of the people who use it. We are pleased to welcome her to our leadership team and look forward to her contributions as SelectView continues to grow."

Newland has more than two decades of experience in construction technology, SaaS sales, business development, and client relationship management. Most recently, she spent more than 14 years as Vice President of Business Development at mJobTime Corporation, a provider of mobile time-tracking software for the construction industry.

During her time at mJobTime, Newland saw firsthand how construction technology evolved as contractors increasingly adopted mobile tools for field operations. The experience gave her a deeper understanding of the challenges construction companies face and showed her the value of listening closely to clients and supporting them with technology designed for the way they work.

Her responsibilities included business development, enterprise sales, strategic partnerships, client implementation, and account support. Working closely with clients and product teams also gave her insight into how customer feedback can shape product development, improve adoption, and strengthen long-term business relationships.

Earlier in her career, Newland held senior regional sales positions with Builder1440 and ToolWatch Corporation. In those roles, she gained experience in construction software, SaaS demonstrations, channel development, international sales, client training, and implementation. She worked with construction contractors, equipment providers, and organizations including Caterpillar, Boeing, ExxonMobil, and the United States Air Force.

“I am grateful for everything I learned during my years at mJobTime and for the many relationships I developed along the way,” Newland said. “That experience reinforced my belief that successful technology companies listen carefully, understand how their clients work, and provide solutions that deliver meaningful value in both the field and the office.”

“I joined SelectView because its commitment to practical, market-ready solutions is matched by a clear vision for growth,” Newland continued. “The company’s proven expertise, expanding portfolio of products and services, and respected leadership team put SelectView in a strong position to extend its reach and play an even greater role in the Vista and Spectrum community. I look forward to building new relationships, delivering more value to our existing clients, and helping construction companies turn their technology investments into measurable business results.”

Newland’s initial priorities include accelerating new-client growth and helping existing clients make greater use of SelectView’s products and services.
