The scoring system, detailed under the HostScore methodology, assigns a rating from 0 to 100. This score combines trust signals (45 points), profile completeness (25 points), data freshness (20 points), and performance indicators (10 points). The platform was founded in 2025 by Gautam Khorana, co-founder of Seahawk and host of the WP Legends Podcast, alongside Ryan James. Drawing on their experience managing and migrating thousands of websites, the founders identified a consistent gap in the market: reliable, unbiased hosting recommendations.
