Beauty company WeWhiten is rolling out its service across the country in a bid to enable more Americans to benefit from its unique approach to whitening. The brand eliminates the use of harsh chemicals in its treatments while lowering costs compared to conventional dental practices.
“We currently operate in eight states,” company CEO Katherine Dangerfield says, “but are aiming to open more than 150 studios so everyone can access our unique services. We want to help people smile whiter today by reducing prices and eliminating the risks associated with conventional whitening techniques.”
Prices for WeWhiten’s tooth-whitening treatments are substantially lower than the industry standard, explaining its popularity and rapid growth. The beauty company’s flagship 90-minute whitening treatment is only $199 for non-members and whitens teeth by up to 8 shades. The cheaper 60-minute whitening sessions are $139 for non-members and promise teeth up to six shades whiter. Members' prices are even lower.
Further driving demand, WeWhiten’s methods are safe. The company uses a plant- and mineral-based whitening gel formulation that builds the enamel. The active ingredients kill bacteria but don’t change teeth’s chemical structure.
“WeWhiten’s approach to teeth-whitening is state-of-the-art,” Dangerfield claims. “Technicians begin by applying the non-abrasive gel to the surface of teeth and use blue LED light to oxidize compounds in the gel, speeding up the activity of active ingredients. This method means we avoid harsh peroxide bleaches found in nearly all conventional whitening treatments, preserving gums, eliminating pain, and protecting tooth enamel.”
Dangerfield founded WeWhiten in 2020 after noticing a significant gap in the dental industry market for teeth whitening services. “Existing techniques were expensive and often uncomfortable,” she says, “blocking most people from using teeth whitening near me.”
As such, Dangerfield decided to invest in researching new techniques that gave clients the whiter teeth they wanted without the downsides. The first WeWhiten studio opened soon after in American Fort, UT.
