Good News Auto Launches Unique Program Combining Vehicle Safety, a 3-Year Warranty, and Community Impact

EDMONTON, Alberta - June 9, 2026 - PRLog -- What if a routine brake repair could help a local family get back on the road?

That's the question Edmonton-based Good News Auto is answering with a new initiative that is turning everyday vehicle maintenance into meaningful community support.

Effective May 16, 2026, Good News Auto is donating $50 from every qualifying complete brake job to the Driven to Renew Foundation, a local non-profit organization dedicated to helping individuals and families facing transportation-related financial hardship.

To make the program even more impactful, every qualifying brake job now includes a 3-Year Parts & Labor Warranty at no additional cost.

"Most people need brakes because they want to keep their family safe," said Chris Ferland, Owner of Good News Auto and Co-Founder of the Driven to Renew Foundation. "Now that same brake repair can help another family overcome transportation challenges that may be preventing them from getting to work, attending school, or accessing medical appointments."

A Growing Need in Edmonton

The cost of vehicle ownership and repairs continues to rise across Canada. For many Edmonton families, a single unexpected repair can create a financial crisis.

Driven to Renew was created to address that challenge by providing vehicle repair assistance, transportation support, financial education, and practical resources to those experiencing hardship.

Since opening its application process, the Foundation has received more than 145 requests for assistance, highlighting the growing need for reliable transportation support in the Edmonton region.

More Than Just Brake Repairs

Good News Auto has built its reputation on providing honest, transparent automotive repair services since 2012. Through its previous JumpStart initiatives and community outreach programs, the company has helped subsidize hundreds of thousands of dollars in vehicle repairs for people in need.

The new brake campaign allows every customer to participate in that mission.

Each qualifying brake service includes:
  • Professional brake inspection
  • Brake pad replacement
  • Rotor replacement or service when required
  • Certified technician installation
  • 3-Year Parts & Labor Warranty
  • $50 donation made by Good News Auto to Driven to Renew Foundation
