The firm promises $2,500 to a student who has displayed a history of dedication to their community.
MARIETTA, GA / ACCESSWIRE / August 21, 2024 / The personal injury lawyers at Jones & Swanson want to help the next generation of community-oriented leaders pursue a secondary education. That desire drove the firm to create its Jones & Swanson Community Service Scholarship, which promises $2,500 to a standout student in Georgia.
The firm specifically wants to recognize a student who's made significant strides to improve the standing of their community. To judge that commitment, the team invites applicants to create one-to-two-minute video essays going into detail about the leadership skills they've developed over their years of service.
To complete their video essays, students must:
Refrain from using AI to write their scripts, create false interviews, or modify their voices/settings
Shoot their videos in well-lit spaces
Go into detail about their community projects
Produce evidence of a strong academic record
Include credits and sources for secondary footage
The videos students make for this scholarship should be entirely original. Jones & Swanson will disqualify any student who reuses video footage from another scholarship essay for their Jones & Swanson Community Scholarship application.
Once complete, students can upload their completed essays as unlisted videos to YouTube. Students can then share a link to those videos along with their other application materials through Jones & Swanson's scholarship page.
At this time, Jones & Swanson cannot accept incomplete scholarship applications. Students must submit their scholarship video essays by February 15, 2025, to qualify for support. We request that neither students nor their parents reach out to the firm with questions about the scholarship at this time.
We encourage students to visit the scholarship's terms and conditions page to determine whether or not they qualify for support before finalizing their application materials.
The team wishes all undergraduate and graduate students interested in applying for the Jones & Swanson Community Service Scholarship the best of luck. We look forward to seeing the amazing changes you foster in our community.
