-- The Airline will Feature Random Acts of Kindness Across Its Network for a Full Week --
Breeze Airways, the Seriously Nice™ low-fare airline founded by aviation entrepreneur David Neeleman, today announced the debut of the first-ever ‘Breeze Kindness Week’ – a week dedicated to spreading kindness through acts of charity and good deeds across its network – including in Tampa, New Orleans, Savannah, White Plains and Provo.
“Seriously Nice isn’t just a tagline for Breeze, it’s part of our DNA and World Kindness Day inspired us to think about how we can work together with our partners and communities to extend kindness across our network,” said Tom Doxey, Breeze Airways’ President. “Once the wheels started turning, we quickly realized one day wasn’t enough and, thus ‘Breeze Kindness Week’ was born. I’m certain this will become a tradition Breeze will continue to build on for many years to come.”
Breeze is kicking things off on Monday, November 14, with a daily social media giveaway and by handing out “Nice Cards” to Guests throughout the week. The cards include a unique code for 500 BreezePoints (a value of $5) to be used on a future Breeze flight. Guests will be encouraged to pay it forward by giving the card to someone that exhibits kindness to them in the coming week.
In addition, Herbert “Flight Time” Lang, a former Harlem Globetrotter and three-time Amazing Race participant, will serve as the airline’s “master of ceremonies” for Breeze Kindness Week. Mr Lang has been using his platform “KindnessIsFree” to spread the messages and acts of kindness he witnessed while traveling to more than 90 countries.
“Every major accomplishment in my life has been the direct result of others speaking up for me, trusting, and believing I would not fail them in doing so,” said Herbert Lang. “I chose to pay that forward by urging people to treat others even better than you expect to be treated and I am thrilled to be supporting Breeze in its mission to spread kindness all week.”
Throughout the rest of the week Breeze, along with its community partners, will be creating moments of kindness across its network. The events will be shared via Breeze’s social media channels.
The young airline, which now flies more than 100 nonstop routes across the U.S. and built its “Seriously Nice” business model to include no change and cancellation fees up to 15 minutes prior to departure, free family seating and above average seat pitch across its fleet of Embraer 195s and Airbus A220-300s, is encouraging its airports, communities, Guests and Team Members to join in and perform “Acts of Kindness” all week by tagging @BreezeAirways and using the #BreezeKindnessWeek.
“We want to start a movement,” said Mr Doxey. “And what better way to spread kindness than to ask that people share the simple ways they are paying it forward to others.”
