BoldAge PACE is on a mission to bring comprehensive, coordinated care to older adults in every corner of the country, and a new leadership structure is helping make that possible. Mary Austin, who has served as Chief Executive Officer, steps into the role of President, where she will focus on expanding access to PACE programs across the country. Glenn Steigbigel, who previously served as President, assumes the role of Chief Executive Officer.

The transition was announced during BoldAge PACE's first national town hall on May 8, 2026, and reflects the organization's deepening commitment to bringing PACE to more older adults nationwide. Currently, 17 states do not have access to PACE programs. In her new role, Austin will draw on her extensive knowledge of the PACE model to advocate for expansion into underserved states and communities, working to ensure that more older adults have access to the care they deserve.

BoldAge PACE provides complete, coordinated care that brings head-to-toe medical coverage, free transportation, a vibrant activities center, and support at home—all coordinated by one care team. The model is designed for older adults who qualify for nursing home care but choose to remain safely and independently in their own homes.

Austin spoke to the meaning of this work during the town hall announcement: "PACE is my life's work, and stepping into this role means I can dedicate myself fully to expanding this vital program to the older adults who need it most. Every community without PACE is a community where seniors are not getting the care they deserve—and that is what drives me every single day."

Steigbigel expressed gratitude and enthusiasm for the path forward: "I am proud to step into this role at such an exciting time for BoldAge PACE. Mary's passion for this program is unmatched, and with her focus on expansion, I am confident that more older adults across the country will soon have access to the care that PACE provides."
