OTTAWA, ON: SpeedPro Ottawa, a large-format printing and signage company serving Ottawa and the surrounding area, has acquired a new Roland TrueVIS XG-640 high-speed, large-format printer and cutter. The printer was acquired in response to an increase in customer demand for large-format printing projects.
The Roland TrueVIS XG-640 has been on the market for less than a year; it is the flagship model of Roland’s TrueVIS series. As a dual printer/cutter, it cuts prints to size quickly and accurately, reducing post-processing work while increasing the quality of the finished product. This dual-action capability will help SpeedPro Ottawa to further reduce turnaround times.
Colour accuracy is a fundamental part of large-format printing; the closer a printer can come to the brand specifications of a client, the more useful it is. The Roland TrueVIS XG-640 features an 8-colour configuration, including red, orange, and green, giving it far greater colour accuracy than comparable 6 or 7 colour models often found in large-format printing.
The XG-640 is twice as fast as Roland’s VG3-640, featuring dual staggered printheads that allow for print speeds of up to 819 square feet an hour. Other features, like automatic media gap adjustments, give SpeedPro staff members the confidence that projects are being printed accurately and quickly, so they can focus on design and installation.
